forgot to say its suppose to look old and lost at sea thats why the wood looks almost rotted

One of the reasons photographers almost never takes photos facing the sun can also be seen in your render. The boat is in shadow, and can hardly be seen.

I also have a problem with the composition. In my opinion, you should show more of the water, so that the boat would be in the middle of the image. It looks like someone cut your picture on the bottom.

I believe you can achieve better results with more care to the lighting and the composition. You already have a good idea, so you only have to work on this a little more.

BTW - A bigger full size version would give a better idea of the wood texture.

thank you for that information i been reading this book called New Riders - Digital Cinematography and Directing its really great im still not finished reading it i also have New Riders Publishing - Digital Lighting And Rendering thats were i got the idea for the sun i had the brightness turned to high on my pc and didnt notice it.

im working on something different and now still was great to see and learn from my mistakes
